Mechanical Drafting: To start the semester the class began by learning mechanical drafting. By doing this we learned the basics or drafting such as the alphabet of lines, geometric construction, and how to use traditional drafting tools.
CAD Drafting: By previously learning the basics of drafting the switch from mechanical drafting to CAD was easier. CAD uses to same principals of traditional drafting but on a computer.
Inventor: This program is essentially the same as CAD in which you can draft a 2D drawing. But when you have completed the 2D sketch you can go into 3D to extrude your sketch to make the object 3D. This program also gives the ability to 3D print.
3D Printing: An additive process that uses 3D files from Inventor to build up an object layered by plastic.
